Learn the most powerful technique in all of psychotherapy, practiced by all the great masters, with this groundbreaking professional handbook
Hypnotherapy is the foundational skill in all of psychology, and remains up to this day the most powerful. From Sigmund Freud, to Carl Jung, to Milton Erickson: all the grand masters have practiced this toolkit of techniques to bring happiness and restore health to countless thousands of people.
For the first time, this professional training course on precisely this topic is being made available to the general public - the skills developed by the pioneers of the past are now at your fingertips.
For ethical reasons, we cannot release advanced Hypnotherapy techniques to the general public: we have our Professional Training Course in Clinical Psychophysiology for that.
So this guide is introductory - it includes everything you need, theoretically and practically, to begin your relationship with hypnosis.
Within this guide, you'll discover:
-
A crash course in the history of the development of hypnosis, placing yourself right in the timeline of this great healing art-form
-
The basics of how to hypnotize someone, with practical steps (please use responsibly)
-
How to perform a very powerful method for communicating with your own psyche (professional Self-Hypnosis)
-
How to set up a signalling system for communicating with your own psyche (e.g. your psyche will raise one of your fingers autonomously when you ask it a yes/no question)
-
How to gain rapport with a patient for maximizing therapeutic success
-
Self-Assessment questions to test your understanding of the content within these pages
This manual is indispensable to you, if you:
-
Want to pursue a career in hypnotherapy, psychotherapy or another similar 'healing art'
-
Want to communicate with your own psyche in a sincere manner for personal development
The Self-Hypnosis exercise on pages 54-57 is so powerful, that we've had to put a disclaimer at the start of the handbook: when you communicate with your own unconscious, you must do so respectfully and carefully, to avoid unsettling your own psychic homeostasis. This is why we cannot share it on YouTube. Remember, this is designed for professional development, but for the first time, we're making it available for the general public.
This manual was originally used as the basis of a Hypnotherapy workshop that Steve and Pauline gave (in-person) to their trainees in Psycho-Systems Analysis.
Note from James P Dowling:
No other technique except the Self-Hypnosis method described in this manual has been as effective for me to communicate with my own unconscious sincerely. I often get crystal-clear visions, voices and sometimes even synchronicities when I perform it. It helped me find some of my complexes, as the form they took in this exercise were symbolic of their root cause. I like to perform it as deep as possible (in a semi-hypnogogic state) to get the maximum response.

Here's what fellow travelers have said about the manual:
" I read through it all and as suggested tried the self-hypnosis exercise. I was quite shocked when the ideomotor/dissociated movements happened. I had assumed that my awareness of it going in would somehow 'spoil the trick', for want of a better phrase. But I dropped straight into a very deep state of relaxed concentration.... I would characterize it as 'true' self-reflection. Reflection being a particularly apt word because it's as though I 'saw' or 'felt' perspectives on issues that have long been on my mind, rather than the well worn track of inner verbal reasoning. Thank you for pointing me in the direction of what has been quite a profound experience and that I'll continue to watch with interest."

" Tried self-hypnosis. It works. [...] The answers 'yes' and 'no' were clear and the connection was established. At some point I asked if I should come back when I relax, maybe after a walk - I got the answer - yes. I went for a walk, came back and tried again. Body response for yes and no was clear and kept the same through the whole process. [...] At the end I asked If I can share it by asking "Will the unconscious allow me to share this experience?" - I got 'no' answer. Then I asked if I can only share that it works - I got the answer 'yes'. All I can say is that the signs for yes and no were absolutely out of my control. It's funny because sometimes even it was "yes, yes, yes" or "no, no,no" sometimes 2 no, sometimes 1 no. And I feel I must respect that. I mean the content."
